You can stop receiving Switch messages and status updates from certain contacts or pitches by blocking them.

You can also report problematic content to us.

If you feel you or anyone else is in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services.

When you block someone:

• Your last seen, online, status updates, and any changes made to your profile photo will no longer be visible to contacts you've blocked.
• Messages, calls, and status updates sent by the contact won't show up on your phone and won’t be delivered to you.
• Blocking a contact won't remove them from your contacts list, nor will it remove you from the list on the contact's phone. To delete a contact, you must delete the contact from your phone's address book.

When you report someone or specific content:

• Switch sends a message to the admin of the pitch in which the flagged message was sent. The admin receives a notice of:
  • User who sent the message
  • Type of message (text, image, video, etc)
  • Time of message
  • Pitch name
  • The admin will receive a notice that further reports and flagging may result in the deactivation of their Pitch and to review the content of the message immediately to ensure it abides by the app’s acceptable use policy
• Switch also receives the reported Pitch ID, user ID, information on when the message was sent, and the type of message sent (image, video, text, etc.), and the content of the message so we can review if it violates our terms of service and/or acceptable use policies;
• You can also choose to report an account by long pressing a single message.
  • We may ban accounts if we believe the account activity is in violation of our Terms of Service. Per our terms of service we may retain the right to ban the user without notification.
  • Please be aware that a user report of conduct in violation of our Terms of Service won't necessarily result in us banning the user or otherwise taking action against the user.

Blocked numbers will be visible in the Blocked section (iPhone) or Blocked contacts section (Android) of your Switch settings. The only way to remove numbers from this list is to unblock them.

Note

• Blocking a contact won’t stop that user from seeing your messages in a Pitch you both participate in, and you’ll see their messages in that Pitch as well. Please don't participate in Pitches with people you don't wish to communicate with.

Acceptable Use Of Our Services

Our Terms And Policies. You must use our Services according to our Terms and posted policies. If you violate our Terms or policies, we may take action with respect to your account, including disabling or suspending your account and, if we do, you agree not to create another account without our permission. Disabling or suspending your account will be in accordance with the section of our terms of service.

Legal And Acceptable Use. You must access and use our Services only for legal, authorized, and acceptable purposes. You will not use (or assist others in using) our Services in ways that: (a) violate, misappropriate, or infringe the rights of Switch, our users, or others, including privacy, publicity, intellectual property, or other proprietary rights; (b) are illegal, obscene, defamatory, threatening, intimidating, harassing, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive, or instigate or encourage conduct that would be illegal or otherwise inappropriate, such as promoting violent crimes, endangering or exploiting children or others, or coordinating harm; (c) involve publishing falsehoods, misrepresentations, or misleading statements; (d) impersonate someone; (e) involve sending illegal or impermissible communications such as bulk messaging, auto-messaging, auto-dialing, and the like; or (f) involve any non-personal use of our Services unless otherwise authorized by us.

Harm To Switch Or Our Users. You must not (or assist others to) directly, indirectly, through automated or other means, access, use, copy, adapt, modify, prepare derivative works based upon, distribute, license, sublicense, transfer, display, perform, or otherwise exploit our Services in impermissible or unauthorized manners, or in ways that burden, impair, or harm us, our Services, systems, our users, or others, including that you must not directly or through automated means: (a) reverse engineer, alter, modify, create derivative works from, decompile, or extract code from our Services; (b) send, store, or transmit viruses or other harmful computer code through or onto our Services; (c) gain or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our Services or systems; (d) interfere with or disrupt the safety, security, confidentiality, integrity, availability, or performance of our Services; (e) create accounts for our Services through unauthorized or automated means; (f) collect information of or about our users in any impermissible or unauthorized manner; (g) sell, resell, rent, or charge for our Services or data obtained from us or our Services in an unauthorized manner; (h) distribute or make our Services available over a network where they could be used by multiple devices at the same time, except as authorized through tools we have expressly provided via our Services; (i) create software or APIs that function substantially the same as our Services and offer them for use by third parties in an unauthorized manner; or (j) misuse any reporting channels, such as by submitting fraudulent or groundless reports or appeals.

Keeping Your Account Secure. You are responsible for keeping your device and your Switch account safe and secure, and you must notify us promptly of any unauthorized use or security breach of your account or our Services.
